An architectural complex welcomes a rolling beam system designed by Fallprotec

Fallprotec has installed a platform in a Stockholm shopping center for the interior cleaning of an atrium consisting of glass ceiling and glass walls.

The platform moves in the horizontal plane thanks to 2 pairs of Safeaccess rails. One pair, 12 m long, is attached to the structure of the building, the second pair, 4 m long, is suspended to the first thanks to 4 trolleys. This configuration provides access to the entire surface of the glass ceiling.

The architect wanted the platform to be dismantlable in order to respect the architectural quality of the atrium. The platform is lifted from the ground to the rails and attached to the four trolleys by pins.

When the platform is disassembled, the trolleys are used to suspend Ropeclimber Backpack and thus allow the cleaning of the vertical surfaces of the atrium.

For this project, 4 rolling beam systems were delivered for the 4 atriums of the shopping center.

New realization with a Securail system

Our company Fallprotec S.A. has been positioned as Engineering and Manufacturing company of Height Access Equipments, which is somewhere between Building Maintenance Units and Abseiling Equipments. Our range of Aluminium rails and trolleys allows us to engineer bespoke solutions for safe access for the users and easy to operate equipment.

Attached photo shows a typical example of this on a project in Johannesburg S.A. The building has an inner facade which required a discreetly installed abseiling rails. Our new Securail system has been installed therefore. A project like this requires not only top-notch material, also engineering skills as well as a local partner company which runs the whole show from concept, project management, installation and maintenance.

We are really happy to have partnered with the companies Ram Mountaineering and Gravity Access, without their professional input we would not even dare to touch a project like this.
